Introduction
The work of Malawi Human Rights Resource Centre (MHRRC) helps strengthen human rights and the rule of law through building knowledge and awareness in Malawi. This is realized through training, research, education campaigns and provision of documentation services. Supporting and funding such work helps the development of a vibrant civil society which advocates and promotes a democratic society based on the respect of human rights and rule of law.

OGANIZATION AND MANAGEMENT OF MHRRC
The policy direction and overall guidance of the Centre is by a Board of Trustees comprising of representatives from all sectors of Malawian society (e.g. civil society organizations, state institutions, academia, and private sector) which meets once every quarter. The day-to-day management of MHRRC is vested in the Director assisted by secretariat staff. Under the Director’s leadership, the organization is divided into two operational and one support departments. The three departments are: Capacity Development Department, Programmes Department, and the Finance and Administration Department. These three departments are serviced by experienced professionals in the field of human rights, gender, law, grants/project management and accounting.
